On a rainy morning in June all of our Foundation Stage two and Key Stage one children took part in a ‘Potted Sports’ morning held on the Junior School field.
The children were divided into ten mixed age teams represented by names of Olympic Countries. The plan was to rotate around eight different sporting activities including basketball, football, skipping, egg and spoon and bean bag toss, bench shuffle, sack race and scarf relay; scoring points for their team throughout. There were also a couple of drink stops for the teams too.
Unfortunately the rain got the better of us half way through so we were unable to complete all the events. However the children all agreed that they had a fantastic time. It was lovely to see them mixing with different children and demonstrating excellent teamwork.
At the end of the morning the points were all added up and the winning team was Germany.
