June 2016 - Out in the Community

On Saturday 11th June it was The Hemlock Happening. Once again we were able to take part in this great local community event. 25 infant and 25 junior children sang on stage during the afternoon making us feel very proud. They sang three songs; The weather song, He’s got the whole world in his hands and Stick on a Smile. We were very fortunate that weather stayed fine for the day and the children sang well.

A group of our children also helped brighten up the local area last week as they joined Deputy Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe, Councillor Halimah Khaled MBE and local community groups at a planting event at Montrose Court.

The children helped the Councillor Khaled along with members of Stapleford Community Group and Dig In Community Allotment at the event.

The children were awarded gold star awards at the end of the day as a thank you for their efforts.
