Albany Helping Hands

Albany Helping Hands (AHH) is a group of volunteering staff and parents who organise and run fundraising activities to benefit the children in our school. In addition, we run a regular bookshop selling brand new children’s books. Money raised at the bookshop buys new books for the classrooms.

Last year the money raised paid for outdoor learning resources for our nursery and reception children.  In addition we funded a visit from the Life Education Bus for all children in school.

We always need new members for the group and extra helpers for our events - whether it’s for serving refreshments, helping with games or stalls at discos, helping at our regular bookshop or organising events. Please let us know if you are able to help out. If you are unable to help at our events, there are other ways that you can support us. You could donate any unwanted presents that are suitable as prizes for raffles, tombolas or games. The children love winning cuddly toys, games, toys and sweets.  Maybe you love baking - if so you could bake us some cakes or biscuits to sell at one of our cake sales or coffee mornings. Or if you work for a company that can make a donation to the school, or runs schemes to help schools, please let us know.

AHH are grateful for all donations and all the money raised goes towards buying equipment and to enhance the life experiences of the children in our school.

Please get in touch with the school office if you would be interested in helping out with the work of the AHH. Thank you.
