Welcome to the PTA Section
Albany Helping Hands (AHH) is a group of volunteering staff and parents who organise and run fundraising activities to benefit the children in our school.
In addition, we run a regular bookshop selling brand new children’s books. Our books are priced at £2.00 per book, don’t forget to come along and join our reward scheme, buy 9 books and get the 10th book free! Bookshop is held in the hall on the first Tuesday of every month.
Last year, the money raised paid for extra-curricular activities such as Keystrings, a History Workshop and Zumba/Dance Classes – all of which were thoroughly enjoyed by the children.
We always need new members and extra helpers for our events - whether it’s for serving refreshments, helping with games or stalls at discos, helping run our regular bookshop or organising events. Please let us know if you are able to help out.
If you are unable to help at our events, there are other ways that you can support us. You could donate any unwanted presents that are suitable as prizes for raffles, tombolas or games.
Maybe you love baking? If so you could bake us some cakes or biscuits to sell at one of our cake sales or coffee mornings.
If you work for a company that can make a donation to the school, or runs schemes to help schools, please let us know.
AHH are grateful for all donations and all the money raised goes towards buying things to enhance the experiences of the children in our school.
This year as well as holding events in our school we are also joining up with Albany Junior School, ‘Friends of Albany Juniors” for some of our organised events, keep an eye out for more details.
